AI is moving too fast to follow casually.
Leaders and operators need a Learning Operating System that helps them:
Stay current on important AI trends and tools
Understand which tools are strongest for which workflows
Reserve time each week to experiment
Capture and apply what they learn

This weekly workflow turns curated AI intelligence into understanding, hands-on experimentation, and practical organizational value.
You don’t need to chase every new tool.
You do need a trusted intelligence stack that keeps you informed without overwhelming you.
I have to admit, even with the time I invest in AI, I still feel behind. Almost everyone taking AI seriously feels the same way. If you feel behind, you are not alone.
But there is something incredibly rewarding about hearing about a new tool or use case, testing it for yourself, and unlocking new efficiencies or ways to create more value.
Tuning my Learning Operating System around high-value sources helped me become an early adopter of Wispr Flow, move quickly into agentic workflows with Manus, stay current on emerging tools like Hermes, and keep pace with the rapid evolution of Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini. It has allowed me to experiment earlier, unlock new efficiencies, and gain a competitive edge.
As leaders and operators, we must carve out time for this. AI fluency is no longer optional. It matters right now.
This also means looking beyond our own specialties.
Elite-minded leaders cannot afford to learn only within their specialty. We need a balanced Learning Operating System that keeps us current across the key areas of business while allowing us to go deeper in our own fields. As a technology leader, for example, I still need to understand what is evolving in marketing, finance, operations, and leadership.
As a small subset of the sources in my learning roster, here are my top three podcast picks for a wide audience. Although two focus primarily on marketing (both worth following), they consistently surface relevant AI tools and practical use cases that you can experiment with immediately.
The Artificial Intelligence Show: makes AI actionable and approachable for business leaders through AI news, practical analysis, expert interviews, and listener Q&A.
Marketing Against the Grain: an AI-forward marketing podcast focused on marketing trends, growth tactics, and innovation, with an emphasis on fresh, non-mainstream strategies that give businesses a competitive edge.
Marketing School: a fast-paced, daily marketing podcast focused on bite-sized, actionable digital and online marketing tactics, blending AI-driven insights with real-world strategies to help businesses grow faster.
I advocate for the 5-Hour Rule, in which growth-minded leaders invest an average of 1 hour each weekday in outside learning.
My recommendation: in addition to the time you are already using AI at work, allocate at least 20% of that time to actively testing new AI tools and workflows.
The divide will continue to grow between AI-forward leaders and companies and those being left behind.
Staying current is only the beginning. You must also capture, catalog, recall, and apply what you learn.
